Amman, (Petra)--Head of the Lower House's Foreign Affairs Committee Raed Khaza'leh called for boosting relations between the Jordanian parliament and the US Congress in various fields.

During a meeting with a US parliamentary delegation representing the State of South Carolina, he said Jordan appreciates the US support to the Kingdom that helps it in addressing various challenges resulting from the situation in the region, mainly the hosting of refugees.

Khaza'leh also called for enhancing cooperation between the two countries to fight terrorism and terror organizations.

Members of the delegation praised Jordan's humanitarian role towards the Syrian refugees.
