(Petra)--His Majesty King Abdullah II on
Sunday received Egyptian Foreign Minister
Samih Shukri, who conveyed to the King a
letter from Egyptian President Abdul Fattah
al-Sisi dealing with bilateral ties as well
as regional developments.
During the meeting, held at
Al Husseiniya Palace, His Majesty highlighted
the strong ties between Jordan and Egypt
as well as his keenness to further boost
them in various domains.
The King also stressed the
importance of efforts to enhance Arab cooperation
and solidarity and coordinate stances to
address challenges facing the region.
Talks during the meeting,
also dealt with current regional developments,
mainly the Palestinian reconciliation agreement,
efforts to push the peace process forward
in addition to the latest developments in
Syria and Lebanon.
The King and the Egyptian
minister affirmed the need to find political
solutions to regional crises that restore
security and stability to peoples of the
Middle East and avert tension and violence.
His Majesty asked the Egyptian
minister to convey to President al-Sisi
his greetings as well as an invitation to

the Royal Court chief, the foreign minister,
the director of the King's Office and the
Egyptian ambassador in Amman.
